What is CBD and CBD Extract?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a major cannabinoid identified in cannabis. Unlike the more popularly known cannabinoid, THC, CBD provides a way to obtain the medicinal benefits of cannabis without the psychoactive effects of THC. How does CBD work?

Cannabinoids bind to special receptor cells in our animal's bodies (and ours) called cannabinoid receptors. Throughout the body, they are responsible for functions such as cognition, memory, anxiety, motor behavior, sensory, glucose metabolism, hunger, nausea and appetite control.
